📋 About This Mod
Reverts regressions caused by the Community Patch Keyword package v2.0.0
Community Patch v2. 0. 0 introduced some changes to the Keyword package that broke behavior related to weapon attacks and elemental keywords. (This has been discussed at length in a thread on the Obsidian boards.)
Installation
Download one of the Main .zip files and extract the folder it contains to your override folder:
...\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\override
Then the next time you start the game, ensure this mod is lower than Community Patch Keywords in the Mod Manager load order.
Fully compatible with Deadfire Balance Polishing Mod!
Details
In vanilla, some Weapons have their attacks tagged with Elemental Keywords (Fire, Frost, etc.)
This granted them synergy with Arcane Archers and they benefited from keyword bonuses (e.g. Dragon's Dowry getting +10 accuracy from Ring of Focused Flame).
However, whether a Weapon had a Keyword was not indicated anywhere in the GUI... This would cause confusion since enemies with Keyword Immunities wouldn't take damage from Elemental Weapons (e.g. Flame Blights being immune to Dragon's Dowry - which deals Pierce damage).
In Community Patch Keywords v2. 0. 0, keywords such as Fire & Frost were removed from all Weapon attacks, with the intention of making enemies take damage from such weapons.
As A Consequence...
...all those weapons also lost their synergy with keyword bonuses.
(Dragon's Dowry would no longer get extra accuracy from Ring of Focused Flame.)
What This Mod Does...
1. Revert the changes made to elemental weapons.
They will now properly benefit from Keyword bonuses (e.g. equipping Ring of Focused Flame will now properly give Dragon's Dowry extra accuracy). Enemy immunities will also work as in vanilla.
2. Add an indicator and tooltip explanation to all elemental weapons.
This will inform players of synergies and explain enemy immunities, fixing what was ultimately not a behavior issue - but a clarity issue.
3. Make Enemy Keyword Immunities visible in the Combat Tooltip.

AFTER
4. Remove the Beast keyword that was added to Ranger abilities. I think this change also went beyond the purpose of the package (fixing inconsistencies in vanilla keywords) by introducing a whole new pattern that was clearly not intended by the developers, and goes against lore/in-world logic (Rangers having a deep bond with an Animal Companion is a completely separate domain from Druids commanding wild beasts of nature through magic).

1. New Damage Types to Elemental Weapons
One well-received suggestion in the thread was adding a secondary damage type to all Elemental Weapons:
