Multiplayer Dimensional Storage support for PALFORGE ASCENSION

The PALFORGE Server Companion is for Windows dedicated multiplayer servers running PALFORGE ASCENSION.

IMPORTANT — WHAT THIS DOES RIGHT NOW

The current public Server Companion is primarily used to give PALFORGE access to your Dimensional Pal Storage data while playing multiplayer.

Palworld keeps this information on the server, so the normal PALFORGE client cannot reliably access it by itself.

The Server Companion securely reads the correct player's Dimensional Storage data and sends the information back to their PALFORGE client privately.

If you are playing single-player, you do NOT need this Server Companion.

The rest of PALFORGE's server systems are currently being expanded into a larger API and tested separately before they are released publicly.

WHO NEEDS TO INSTALL THIS?

SERVER OWNER

Install the PALFORGE Server Companion on the dedicated server.

WHAT IT CURRENTLY PROVIDES

The public Server Companion currently handles the multiplayer side of PALFORGE's Dimensional Storage system, including:

  []Detecting Pals stored there[/]

  []Sending that information privately to PALFORGE[/]

  []Keeping storage information synchronized[/]

  []Detecting storage changes[/]

  []Supporting Pals moving between Palbox and Dimensional Storage[/]

  []Helping PALFORGE maintain correct Pal locations[/]

  []Read-only access to DPS save data[/]

The Server Companion does not modify your Pals or intentionally alter your save files.

INSTALLATION

Nexus: MANUAL INSTALL ONLY

Steam: Not available, because steam forces subscribe for mods,  which makes installing the server unnecessarily complicated.

1. STOP YOUR SERVER

Always stop the Palworld server before installing or updating the companion.

Back up your server Saved folder first.

2. INSTALL UE4SS

Install a compatible server version of UE4SS and make sure UE4SS works correctly before installing PALFORGE Server Companion.

3. INSTALL THE SERVER COMPANION

You should end up with:

Home / Pal / Binaries / Win64 / ue4ss / Mods / EvolutionSuiteServer

4. ENABLE THE MOD

Mods\PalModSettings.iniMake sure it contains:

bGlobalEnableMod=true

ActiveModList=UE4SS

ActiveModList=EvolutionSuiteServerDo not launch the server using:

-NoMods

5. START THE SERVER

Start Palworld normally.

After installation:

  []Join using a compatible PALFORGE ASCENSION client.[/]

  []Allow PALFORGE to finish loading.[/]

  []Open your Palbox / Dimensional Storage.[/]

  []Confirm your Dimensional Storage Pals appear correctly in PALFORGE.[/]

If it works, you are done.

There should normally be no commands that players need to enter manually.

When installing a newer Server Companion:

• []Stop the server.[/]

  []Back up your server.[/]

  []Back up the old EvolutionSuiteServer folder.[/]

  []Install the new version cleanly.[/]

  []Start the server.[/]

  []Join using the matching PALFORGE client.[/]

  []Test Dimensional Storage.[/]

Never delete Palworld player saves or DPS saves when updating PALFORGE.

MULTIPLAYER ONLY FOR NOW

For the current public release:

Use the Server Companion only if you are running PALFORGE on a multiplayer dedicated server.

Single-player PALFORGE does not require it.

Additional server features are actively being developed and moved into PALFORGE's larger server API. Those systems are being tested before they become part of the normal public Server Companion experience.
