Increase Camera Distance

Overview

The third-person camera in Palworld sits close to your character by default. This mod pushes it back as far as you want, with a simple multiplier in config.lua.

It scales the camera distance for every state — walking, hip-fire, aiming, sprinting/gliding, flying, crouching, sliding, swimming and mounted/riding. FOV is untouched, and the built-in Ride Camera Distance slider still works alongside it (they stack).

- Preset look with your own value: default multiplier 1. 5 (v2. 0 as far back as vanilla, 0. 5 closer in; range 0. 5 - 5. 0)

- Re-applies automatically on respawn / reload so it never silently drops

- Purely client-side, works in single-player and multiplayer

- No FOV changes — field of view stays as you configured it

Requirements

• Palworld 1. 0.x  -  UE4SS v3. 0+ installed in Pal\Binaries\Win64\

Installation

• Copy the IncreasedCameraDistance folder into Pal\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\

Configuration

Open config.lua in the mod folder:

- CameraDistanceMultiplier — camera pullback factor (default 1. 5, range 0. 5 - 5. 0) — higher pulls the camera further back, lower pushes it closer in

- LogToConsole — set true to print what the mod did to UE4SS.log

Troubleshooting

Camera distance unchanged?

Set LogToConsole = true in config.lua, then check UE4SS.log.The mod reports whenever it scales the camera boom's arm lengths for the player pawn. If nothing appears, the mod folder is not being loaded. Make sure it is directly inside ue4ss\Mods\ with enabled.txt present.
