BREAKTHROUGH SYSTEM (AVATAR INSPIRED)

Description

Breakthrough System is a Palworld combat expansion that allows players to go beyond simply commanding their Pals and begin channeling Pal abilities through their own character.

Instead of your Pal always being the one to perform an attack, Breakthrough gives the player access to selected Pal-inspired abilities, creating a new style of combat where the bond between Player and Pal becomes a source of power.

The long-term goal is to turn captured and trained Pals into more than companions — they become part of the player's growing arsenal of abilities.

Installation instructions

⚡ Breakthrough Mode

Activate a special combat state that gives the player access to abilities derived from Pals rather than relying entirely on conventional weapons.

🔮 Pal Skill Casting

Use compatible Pal abilities directly through the player character, including projectile-style attacks and other abilities that can reasonably be adapted for player use.

✋ Unarmed Casting

Breakthrough combat is designed around unarmed/hand-based casting, giving abilities their own identity instead of simply turning them into another gun or weapon attack.

🐾 Pal Assist

Some abilities that cannot realistically be performed by a human character can instead use a temporary Pal Assist, allowing the associated Pal to appear, execute the technique, and return.

✨ Aura & Buff Abilities

The system is being designed to support more than direct attacks. Pal-inspired buffs, auras, enhancements, and other utility abilities are potential parts of the Breakthrough ability pool.

⏳ Breakthrough Skill Selection

The planned combat flow allows players to enter Breakthrough and select from available abilities before executing them, creating a more deliberate ability-based combat system.

📈 Expandable Ability System

Breakthrough is intended to grow alongside Palworld. New compatible Pal skills can gradually be adapted into player abilities instead of building the system around only a handful of attacks.
