Lucky Pals Shine!

This mod does exactly what it says on the tin: Makes lucky pals shine with the same particle effect they had while in the wild! Now you can have your lucky pals wandering around your base or in your party, and they'll glimmer and shine the same way they did before you caught them.

This mod hasn't been tested with multiplayer, but it should only work client-side. Regardless, exercise caution when using this on a multiplayer server.

Installation

UE4SS is required in order to run this mod. Install UE4SS in your Palworld directory, then open UE4SS-settings.ini and make sure this parameter is set as so: bUseUObjectArrayCache = false

Xbox Game Pass

Locate Palworld's installation folder:

• []Open the Xbox app, then select Palworld[/]

  []Click "Manage Files", then "Browse". This should take you to the install folder[/]

  []In the zip folder is a "LuckyPalsShine" folder. Copy the "Mods" folder into the "Palworld/Pal/Binaries/WinGDK/ue4ss/Mods/" folder, or wherever your UE4SS mods are installed[/]

  []Copy the "LogicMods" folder into the "Palworld/Pal/Content/Paks" folder where the game is installed; alternatively, move the LuckyPalsShine.pak file into Palworld/Pal/Content/Paks/LogicMods if the directory exists[/]

  Steam

  Locate Palworld's installation folder:

  • []Open Steam, then right-click on Palworld[/]

    []Click the "Manage" button, then click "Browse Local Files". This should take you to the install folder[/]

    []In the zip file is a "LuckyPalsShine" folder. Copy the "LuckyPalsShine" folder into the "Palworld/Pal/Binaries/Win64/ue4ss/Mods/" folder, or wherever your UE4SS mods are installed[/]

    Configuration

    Version 1. 3 of this mod now allows you to set the effect you want through the included config.lua file!

    In config.lua you can find the line that says _VisualEffectID and set the value to a wide range of effects. 24 is the default value and adds the lucky effect (as of the Terraria update), but you can change it so your lucky pal has other effects such as ice, electricity, and more.

    Version 1. 4 of this mod now includes even MORE lucky pal options via the included config.lua file!

    In config.lua there are now multiple options for lucky pals. Change modOptions.shineOption to the option you want below:

    0: Lucky pals will always use the default shine

    1: Lucky pals will add one effect for the first type of the pal (i.e. a grass/dark pal will have the grass effect)
