Uncluttered Pause Menu

Update May 2026:

I'm officially retarded. I was playing the Three Brothers version all along and didn't realize I wasn't playing the Definitive Edition. I updated all of my mods for the Definitive Edition and have play-tested them. About half of my mods definitedly needed updating, but I updated and uploaded all of them again to be safe. If you were having an issue with my mods, please try again with the updated version.

Please note: all of my mods only require the standard BepInEx to run. BepInEx Configuration Manager is recommended for configuration of my mods. A few of my mods also require Sideloader, if denoted. I haven't tested my mods with other Mod Managers, such as r2modman. I'm running Outward solely with BepInEx with all of my mods and a couple of mods from other Mod Creators as well. I recommend using the latest version of BepInEx (5. 4. 23. 5 at the moment), but older version should work perfectly fine as well. Happy gaming y'all and enjoy Outward while we wait for the second game to release =)

Uncluttered Pause Menu

Uncluttered Pause Menu for Single Player.

This is a feature that was part of my broken "Reload on Death" mod, which I wanted to salvage and provide separately.

It is just a small insignificant mod, but I like to have the Pause Menu cleaned up, therefore I'm putting this out there for anyone interested.

You can change which buttons are shown in the Pause Menu through the BepInEx Configuration Manager:

- Pause Game button

- Chat button

- Start Split Screen button

- Open Game to Friends button

- Find Game button

Autopause

You can enable Autopause, so that the game automatically pauses when you hit Escape and the Pause Menu is displayed (default: off).

Please note: changing the Settings while in Autopause mode does not work correctly, there I recommend to turn off the Autopause when you want to change settings.

Installation:

BepInEx mod. Extract to Outward game directory.

Mod options:

To be able to change the mod options, you need to install BepInEx ConfigurationManager as well. Extract to Outward game directory.
