Better Mana Increase

Update May 2026:

I'm officially retarded. I was playing the Three Brothers version all along and didn't realize I wasn't playing the Definitive Edition. I updated all of my mods for the Definitive Edition and have play-tested them. About half of my mods definitedly needed updating, but I updated and uploaded all of them again to be safe. If you were having an issue with my mods, please try again with the updated version.

Please note: all of my mods only require the standard BepInEx to run. BepInEx Configuration Manager is recommended for configuration of my mods. A few of my mods also require Sideloader, if denoted. I haven't tested my mods with other Mod Managers, such as r2modman. I'm running Outward solely with BepInEx with all of my mods and a couple of mods from other Mod Creators as well. I recommend using the latest version of BepInEx (5. 4. 23. 5 at the moment), but older version should work perfectly fine as well. Happy gaming y'all and enjoy Outward while we wait for the second game to release =)

Better Mana Increase

Changes the way, Magic is acquired and Mana Points are increased. With this mod, when you approach the Ley Line, you do not exchange Health and Stamina for Mana Points anymore.

Instead, you get a base amount of Mana (default 20 Mana, configurable through the BepInEx Settings with F1) when you approach the Ley Line for the first time. You also learn five new recipes to craft magical gemstones at an Alchemy Station, which can then be fused into a Pure Mana Crystal.

When you subsequently approach the Ley Line again and you have a Pure Mana Crystal in your inventory, each Pure Mana Crystal will be exchanged for more Mana Points (default 20 Mana for each, configurable through the BepInEx Settings with F1).

You will need a variety of different Mana Stones and Gemstones to craft the magical gemstones, which should result in a gradual progression over time, as you collect the ingredients in the world of Outward.

If you don't like the default recipes, then you can change them to your liking. They are located in the SideLoader \ Recipes folder.

Installation:

BepInEx mod. Extract to Outward game directory. Requires SideLoader.

Mod options:

To be able to change the mod options, you need to install BepInEx ConfigurationManager as well. Extract to Outward game directory.
