Vampire Cure No Quest Tag

A simple .esp file that unticks the 'Quest Item' tag from the Cure for Vampirism potion the player is rewarded with from the Vampire Cure quest. This allows the player to drop, store, or sell the item.

This is my first mod for Oblivion Remastered and my third mod overall. I'm quite new to modding so feel free to add your recommendations, requests, and advice. I don't quite know how to get the old TES Construction Set to reference the new remastered data so the potion inherits data from Oblivion.esp rather than AltarESPMain.esp, however the intended effect does work and I have not encountered any complications or downsides of this.

I'm aware of the mod called TQI - Toggle Quest Items made by NullDev which allows people to remove quest tags from items while in-game. Feel free to install that if you prefer a more full-featured mod. This mod is just a simple and lazy solution for vampire players who want to store/sell the Cure for Vampirism.

If you just want to remove the item from your inventory, downloading this mod is not necessary as you can enter in the command: 'player.removeitem 000977E4 1' into your console. (console commands and mods disable achievements without a re-enabler mod)

A similar mod was made for the Bruma house upgrade receipts called Bruma House - No Quest Items made by CritiMaze.

[ Installation ]

Mod Manager install OR paste the contents of the included .zip file into the root of your Oblivion Remastered folder and activate the .esp file.

This mod can be installed or uninstalled at any point during your game without consequences.

This mod places an .esp file named 'VampCureNoQTag.esp' into the plugin folder which is located at:

{GAME FOLDER}\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data\

If you used a mod manager, use your mod manager to uninstall it OR If you manually installed the mod: remove the 'VampCureNoQTag.esp' file from your plugins folder (location shown in extra info in install instructions).

This mod can be uninstalled mid-game.

This mod is a very simple .esp file, and should not be broken by any game updates. It should work on any version of the game, including older versions.

[ Pro Vampire Tips! ]

- This Instant Fast Travel mod from the original Oblivion works on the remaster. It's helpful for reducing the frequency at which you need to feed, especially when you have quests that take you back and forth across Cyrodiil often.
