Disable Annoying Clipping Objects (Bliss Fountain plus Fort Linchal)

The constant "clanging" noise you hear in Bliss is caused by a coin that is clipping into the fountain's geometry. This simple .esp disables the coins in that fountain so you don't end up going mad like the rest of Bliss' citizens. Todd Howard personally added this feature for immersion reasons so that you could truly feel like a resident of Bliss, but I am choosing to go against his design as I have enough mental illnesses already. Todd's genius is truly an enigma.

He also decided that Sheogorath's will must be foisted upon the innocent people of Cyrodiil, and this also occurs at Fort Linchal.

This mod simply flags the seven coins inside of the Bliss fountain as well as the Fort Linchal gems as 'Initially Disabled' which prevents them from appearing even if you've already been to Bliss/Fort Linchall. It didn't harm the aesthetics for me to do this since you can't even see the coins/gems in this version of the game anyway.

Due to Oblivion Remastered removing the ability to select items by clicking on them while in console, I couldn't verify which number corresponded to the glitchy coin, but since you cannot see any of the coins I disabled all seven of them. I literally had to find the reference ID's by selecting them in the 2006 version of the game.

[ Installation ]

Mod Manager install OR paste the contents of the included .zip file into the root of your Oblivion

Remastered folder and activate the .esp file.

This mod can be installed/uninstalled mid-game.

[ Uninstallation ]

If you used a mod manager, use your mod manager to uninstall it OR If you manually installed the mod: remove the 'RemoveAnnoyingClippingObjects.esp' file from your plugins folder.

This mod can be uninstalled mid-game.

[ Game Version Info ]

This should work in all versions of the game, but if Bethesda/Virtuous or the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch team ever fix this bug, I'll keep this mod up for people who choose to play on older versions of the game or don't want the Unofficial Oblivion Remastered Patch. If I learn of this bug being fixed one day, I'll be sure to inform future downloaders that this mod is no longer necessary via a banner at the top of the mod description.
