Installation:
Extract the contents of the ZIP to steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods\
Note that if you have blue armour v1. 0 or v1. 1 already installed, you must delete all three "BlueGlassArmour_P" files before installing v1. 2 and onwards.
** Only install one of the ZIP files.
Uninstallation:
Simply delete all three "xxxGlassArmourWeapons_P" files from your steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods\ folder.
How I Made This:
-
[]Find and extract the textures using FModel
[]Extract the UAsset etc files in legacy format using retoc (textures, MIC_ShieldGlass.uasset and M_GlassArmor.uasset)
[]Edit textures - I used GIMP and had to save them in DDS format for this specific mod
[]Edit the colours in MIC_ShieldGlass.uasset and M_GlassArmor.uasset using UAssetGUI
[]Inject the edited DDS files into their UAsset files using UE4-DDS-Tools
[]Package the various UAsset etc files into a legacy PAK using repak
[]Finally, convert the legacy PAK to Zen format using retoc
Phew! This took a lot of trial and error to figure out, but I think the end result was worth it!
My Other Re-colour Mods:

Bronze Glass Armour and Weapons
Silver Dwarven Armour and Weapons

Tinted Glass Armour and Weapons by SquigM is a compact cosmetic mod that recolors the glass armor and weapon sets in Skyrim, offering ten main color variations. With 183 endorsements and over 5,000 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated texture overhaul for players seeking visual variety without changing gameplay.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 183 endorsements and over 5,000 downloads.
- Simple, focused mod that does exactly what it says.
- Ten variations give decent choice for matching your character's look.
⚠️ Cons
- Only ten variations might not cover every color you want.
- Compatibility risk with other mods that alter glass armor textures or meshes.
- No preview images or detailed description, so you're flying blind on the exact tints.
For Skyrim players who want to spice up the glass armor's look without overhauling the whole game. If you're a completionist collecting armor sets, this adds variety. Skip if you're after gameplay changes or need more than ten color options.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture mod, make sure it loads after any mods that change glass armor meshes to avoid conflicts.
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or MO2 to easily toggle the mod on/off and see which variation you prefer.
- If you're on Skyrim Special Edition, ensure the mod version matches your game version (LE vs SE).
