Auto Map Zoom Out UE4SS

UE4SS script to automatically zoom out the world map when the map screen is opened. Optionally then centers the map on the player (this behaviour is turned on by default, without it the map zooms out and seems pan up/left).

Suggested by rcskyblue to go alongside my Hide Player Map Marker mod.

Installation:

1. Download UE4SS from NexusMods and follow the install instructions

2. Once installed, inside the ue4ss folder you should have a Mods folder. Download this mod and drop the extracted folder "AutoMapZoomOut" into that mods folder.

You should then have the following:

/ue4ss/Mods/AutoMapZoomOut/scripts/main.lua

/ue4ss/Mods/AutoMapZoomOut/scripts/config.lua

/ue4ss/Mods/AutoMapZoomOut/enabled.txt

How to Configure:

Open the /ue4ss/Mods/AutoMapZoomOut/scripts/config.lua with your text editor of choice. From there you can tweak the following:

• []centerOnPlayer - set this to false to stop the map from automatically centering on the player marker once it has zoomed out

  []mainFirstDelayTime and mainDefaultDelayTime - these are various delay times (in milliseconds). I will keep an eye on player feedback to see if these need adjusting but the values used worked well for me during my testing

  []centerDelayTime - the delay time between zooming out and then centering on the player

  []openQuestInMapDelayTime - the delay time (in milliseconds) between clicking the quest detail's "Open In Map" button and the zoom out/center functions kicking back in for the next map opening

• zoomSteps - a work-in-progress feature to limit how far the map zooms out

  Uninstallation:

  Simply delete the "AutoMapZoomOut" folder from /ue4ss/Mods/
