Simple Races

This mod makes three changes to racial traits, all intended to make the early game more challenging:

1.

Reduced Starting Attributes

The total pool of attribute points has been lowered from 320 to 280 to any race and both genders.

All attributes (except Luck) are lowered to 30. To reflect racial distinctions, 20 points were allocated to relevant attributes afterwards(see below).

Lower Starting Skills

Instead of the usual 45 points across various skills, you now begin with just 20 extra points in skills.

Nerfed Racial Abilities and Powers

Racial bonuses have been toned down and all powers are removed. No race offers a too dominant advantage anymore.

• Unfortunately, some effects like Fortify Health or Feather don't work as passive starting traits (for me atleast). As compensation, I’ve given some races an starting item with an enchantment. "Fixes" the problem until you find/craft a better ring.

  New racial traits:

  Argonian scaly skin:

  - 50% Resistance to Disease/Poison/Paralysis, Water Breathing and 15% Resistance to Frost/Shock

  - increased Agility (40), Speed (35) and Endurance (35)

  - 5 to Atheltics, Hand to Hand, Security and Blade

  Breton magic knowledge:

  - 25% Resistance to Magic

  - increased Intelligence (40) and Willpower (40)

  - 10 to Conjuration and Restoration

  Dark Elf

  Inheritance:

  - 30% Resistance to Fire/Shock and +20 Magicka

  - increased Strength (35), Intelligence (35), Willpower (35) and Agility (35)

  - 10 to Destruction, 5 to Marksman and Blade

  High Elf magical affinity

  :

  - 80 Magicka and 20% Weakness to Fire/Frost/Shock

  - increased Intelligence (50)

  - 5 to Alteration, Destruction, Illusion and Mysticism
