Woodland Grace - Elf Ranger Passive

Woodland Grace is a passive effect which makes all "natural" animals neutral to the player unless provoked. This mod adds a book which is scripted to give you Woodland Grace and, if you're a wood elf, remove Beast Tongue. Read the book again to reverse the changes.

If you're a wood elf, remember to reverse the changes before removing this mod to get your Beast Tongue ability back.

Beast Tongue is incredibly underwhelming and awkward to use and I find using a passive effect like this is much more immersive to the wood elf or ranger experience. Woodland Grace was an effect that was only given when wearing the Boots of the Crusader from the Knights of the Nine DLC. Using the construction set with the knights.esp was extremely problematic so everything was rewritten using only the oblivion.esm.

Woodland Grace will make the following "standard" and "natural" creatures neutral to the player, but NOT your horses or followers. Quest or alternate variations of these animals (except tutorial rats) are not affected.

Boars, Black Bears, Brown Bears, Mountain Lions, Timber Wolves, Wolves

This mod also adds the following creatures to the original list.

Deer (Bucks and Does), Mud Crabs, Rats, Slaughterfish

There are 2 copies of Woodland Grace added to the world. The first one can be found in the very first locked chest you find in the starting Imperial Dungeons. The second copy is sold by Daenlin in the Archer's Paradox, Bravil.
