INTRO

Live a peaceful farmer's life!  This mod turns the abandoned Shetcombe Farm northeast of Kvatch into a player home.

FEATURES

Shetcombe Farm lies northeast of Kvatch and is related to The Sunken One quest. The notes obtained as part of the quest have been slightly altered to hint at the farm being available to be claimed by the player, to make the acquiring of this property more immersive and in-lore.

The interior of the farmhouse features a double bed, a set of drawers, a few tables and chairs, several barrels, a crate and two fireplaces - this is all vanilla. This mod adds: 3 new Chests, 3 small Caskets, 1 new Cupboard, 1 new Bag and some extra lighting to enhance the atmosphere.

All interior containers - existing and new - are permanent safe storage.

The exterior includes enclosed area for your horse and a garden with lots of veggies - this is all vanilla. The mod adds: 2 candles to the window, to attract attention to the farm from afar, a small lockbox (this will be used for future content) and an additional crate in the stables. The two barrels in the stables and the two barrels by the farm door are now safe storage also.

Note that currently it is not possible to remove or move stuff in an existing location, hence I can only add new things, while being forced to keep everything as is. Adding stuff like fire to a fireplace or decorations on the walls does not seem to work either.

INSTALLATION

I recommend a mod manager automated installation, Vortex, MO2, take your pick :)\

If installing manually, extract the ESP file(s) into "..\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data" folder, and then add the filename(s) to the Plugins.txt

IMPORTANT! VERSION 0. 7 AND EARLIER USERS!

In 0. 8a the mod was rebuilt from scratch due to an issue in 0. 7 with changed Base Forms that affected other areas (containers) in the game, making them permanent storage).

If you are updating from 0. 7 (or earlier) follow this process:

1. Empty all containers and make a save somewhere else (preferably a different interior - an inn or a shop in town).

2. Exit the game and uninstall the mod (disable in mod manager or delete both ESP files if manully).

3. Launch the game, load the last save and save the game again.

4. Exit the game and install 0. 8a. Deluxe edition patch is no longer required.

DELUXE EDITION

No patch required for Deluxe Edition users from version 0. 8a

FUTURE PLANS

I would love to expand this mod, eventuall
