Permanent Dead Thralls - Staff of Worms Overhaul and Necromancy Spell

This mod replaces the effect on the Staff of Worms with a custom undead follower system, closer in function to the Dead Thrall spell in Skyrim.

Also adds a spell with the same effect as the staff, and the "Crystal of Command Undead" to control the thrall.

The Dead Thrall spell has the same function as the staff.

How to get the Items:

After defeating Mannimarco at the end of the Mages Guild questline, you'll be able to loot the staff and a new item on his body, the "Crystal of Command Undead". The "Dead Thrall" spell will be automatically added to your inventory.

To access the new functions:

After resurrecting an NPC with the staff/spell, they'll begin following the player. Open the miscellaneous section of the inventory and activate the "Crystal of Command Undead" to open a menu with the following options: "Follow" "Wait" "Dismiss" "Teleport" and "Close"

Useful Information:

• []I recommend using the staff on a unique NPC/permanent corpse if you want a long-term follower. Here's UESP list of Permanent Corpses.

  []There's no "trade" option like with followers in Skyrim, but you can select "Dismiss" which will kill the thrall, then trade with the corpse before resurrecting again. They equip new items in the inventory after going through a loading-screen.

• Also, there's technically no limit to how many NPC's you can have reanimated at a time, however, the Crystal's menu options will only affect the last NPC resurrected. This means regular summons can be used alongside the NPCs resurrected with this mod. I might try expanding the number of actors handled by the script in the future if people really want it.

  Drop PermanentThralls.esp in Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data

  Open Plugins.txt in that same folder and add PermanentThralls.esp at the end of the list.
