MF_SkeletonKey

Skeleton Key should be able to pick anything according to the lore. So why does it fail so much while auto attempt lockpicking? Well this mod fixes that.

HOW IT WORKS:

When you equip the skeleton key everything will appear normal. Which it is. Once you open the lockpick minigame, the script starts. It first looks for the skeleton key in your inventory using a console command instead of deep diving through the game files and script commands to determine if you have the skeleton key. This method is much more reliable. Once it determines you have the skeleton key, it changes the fLockpickAutoBase game setting to 100%. From then on, when you open another lockpick minigame, the script will check to see if you have the skeleton key though the same method mentioned above. If you do still have the skeleton key it doesn't change the fLockpickAutoBase game setting because it is already set to the correct setting. However, if it determines you do not have the skeleton key it sets the fLockpickAutoBase game setting back to 45%, its default value. Then if you continue to not have the skeleton key in you inventory, it will not change the fLockpickAutoBase until it sees the skeleton key in your inventory once more.

COMPATIBILITY:

This mod is fully compatible with the popular mod Uncapped Skeleton Key , which makes the 40 point security buff an enchant so you can continue leveling up your security skill past level 60 while still having the skeleton key in your inventory.

Place the unpacked SkeletonKey file into:

\\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods

Remove the unpacked SkeletonKey file from:

\\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods
