  Before updating to 2. 0 and higher from 1. 0 or 1. 1 install the optional file AND keep the older version. Install Runtime EditorID Console. In game, run

  exec PreitRemoveMgSkillRewards.txt

  in the console. It will remove old spell buffs. Save game and exit.  Now you are ready to update to 2. 0. Uninstall the older version and the optional file.

  Lavallet insists this is not required, but I wanted to make sure. If you're on Gamepass - ignore this step and just pray it works. You can't run OBSE so cannot run Editor Id console mod.

  Description

  Recommendation quests are so annoying. You do hard work for the mages guild and all they do is write you a letter of recommendation even when you risk your life to fix their incompetence. Some may teach you a few basic spells, but that's it. Not fair.

  This mod aims to fix that. Now upon reporting to the head of each mages guild chapter to complete the quest you will recieve a permanent boost to the shool of magic this Hall specializes in, with the exception of Bruma. They teach you Alchemy since these guys don't specialize in anything.

  Based on the Oldblivion mod Mages Guild Skill Rewards. The idea and skill values are taken from here, so credits to TheLonelyGod! I created Fortify skill abilities for each school + alchemy which you get upon completing related recommendation quests.

  The buffs:

  []Alchemy - Bruma: + 10 (5) skill bonus + Resist Poison 10

  []Alteration - Cheydinhal: + 10 (5) skill bonus + Shield 5

  []Conjuration - Chorrol: + 10 (5) skill bonus + Resist normal weapons 5 (like undead)

  []Destruction - Skingrad: + 10 (5) skill bonus + Resist Fire, Frost and Shock 5

  []Illusion - Bravil: + 10 (5) skill bonus + Resist Paralysis 10
