📋 About This Mod
I've always liked the Imperial Waterfront slums area, but have also found it one of the areas lacking a bit of love in both the original Oblivion and the Remaster! And so, out of a vision for what could be (and with a distinct lack currently of these types of mods on the Nexus right now), I set out learning how to create a mod like this and - more importantly - how to make a mod like this work for the Remaster!
Massive props to Haphestia for their "Fix and Port Script mod", as well as their MagicLoader mod, which you can find on their page or the direct link: Haphestia's Fix and Port Script & MagicLoader 2.
Huge thanks to Godschildgaming for UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector as well.
Thank you to Luwust for running through and testing things out!
Installation (IMPORTANT):
- Install both MagicLoader and UE4SS TesSyncMapInjector as these are both requirements of this mod to function correctly.
- Download this mod and place the LI_ImperialWaterfront.esp file into /OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data (Steam) or /The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered/Content/OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/ (GamePass)
- Place the LI_ImperialWaterfront.json file into /OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/MagicLoader (Steam) or /The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered/Content/OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/MagicLoader (GamePass)
- Place the LI_ImperialWaterfront.ini into /OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/SyncMap (Steam) or /The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered/Content/OblivionRemastered/Content/Dev/ObvData/Data/ObvData/Data/SyncMap (GamePass)
- Make sure to add LI_ImperialWaterfront.esp to your plugin list or use a mod that does this for you. I use this one: Simple Oblivion Remastered plugin manager
Uninstall:
- Delete .esp from your install path above.
- Delete .json from your install path above.
- Delete the .ini from your install path above.
- Remove from your plugin list.
Conflicts:
- Known conflict with Lumiere - Lights of Cyrodiil by Tewix due to new lights added in similar areas (Waterfront Slums) in both mods. There is a PATCH FOR THIS for this that I have included as an optional file that I created with Tewix's permission :)
- As of right now after some testing there does not appear to be any particular or specific issues with any in-game events or quests. If these do come up, please flag them with me and I will try my best to fix them!
- Of course, any other mods that add to the Imperial Waterfront Slums are likely to conflict with this mod mostly in that things will probably clip with what I have added.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community-approved with 433 endorsements and 22k downloads — clearly a hit among players
- Makes the Imperial Waterfront Slums feel more alive and detailed, perfect for immersion lovers
- Lightweight and focused — doesn't overhaul the whole city, just the slums
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in June 2025 — might not be compatible with the latest Skyrim version if it changed since then
- Only affects the Imperial Waterfront area — if you're looking for a city-wide overhaul, this won't cut it
For Skyrim players who want to make the Imperial Waterfront Slums feel more lived-in and immersive without a massive overhaul. If you're a completionist who explores every corner of the map, this mod adds nice details to an otherwise bland area. Skip if you want gameplay changes or a full city makeover — this is purely cosmetic.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2 to install this mod easily and avoid manual file placement errors.
- Check your load order — this mod should be placed after any mods that alter the Imperial City or Waterfront area to avoid conflicts.
- Since it's a cosmetic mod, you can safely add or remove it mid-playthrough, but it's best to install it before starting a new game for a consistent experience.
