Fix Persistent Character Glow

Fix Persistent Character Glow resolves an annoying visual bug in the vanilla game. In certain cases, when wearing enchanted clothing or armor, the enchantment shader effect can become permanent after changing gear, swapping weapons, or entering a new area, causing your character to glow indefinitely until you reload a save or restart the game.

While some mods work around this by removing enchantment visuals entirely, this mod preserves the original effect and instead fixes the issue at its source, ensuring the glow doesn’t persist.

★ Installation Instructions

1. Ensure UE4SS is installed and working.

2. Download the corresponding .zip file of the mod.

3. Navigate to the Oblivion Remastered root folder. By default, it can be found at the following paths:

Steam Users

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\Game Pass Users

C:\XboxGames\The Elder Scrolls IV- Oblivion Remastered\

4. Extract the OblivionRemastered folder and its contents from the downloaded .zip file into the root folder.

5. Confirm that the FixCharacterGlow.pak, FixCharacterGlow.ucas, and FixCharacterGlow.utoc files have been correctly installed in the following paths:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\LogicMods\Game Pass Users

6. Launch the game. The effect will apply automatically.
