📋 About This Mod
This mod adds a new discoverable map marker for your convenience right next to the trapdoor into Deepscorn Hollow. It also removes a few creature spawns (mostly mudcrabs) that were close enough to the trapdoor to prevent fast traveling away.
Requirements:
None! NL-Tag shouldn't even be needed, since I used an existing localized name.
Installation:
-
[]Download the mod and extract it into the \Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder
[
]Open the plugins.txt file in Data folder and add DeepscornHollowTrapdoorMarker.esp - That's all! It will now be discoverable near the Deepscorn Hollow map marker
Uninstallation:
Just remove the DeepscornHollowTrapdoorMarker.esp file from your Data folder.
Compatibility
:This edits the cells around the trapdoor to remove creature spawns that prevent fast travel. I doubt any other mod will edit those cells, but if they do, just load that mod after this one.
Adds a new discoverable map marker next to the trapdoor into Deepscorn Hollow, saving you the hassle of navigating to the entrance manually. A small quality-of-life tweak for Oblivion players who frequently visit that location. With 48 endorsements and 5,458 downloads, it's a niche but appreciated convenience mod.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Tiny but handy QoL mod—no more fumbling to find that trapdoor every time
- 48 endorsements from a small but appreciative player base
- Zero bloat: just a map marker, nothing else to mess with
⚠️ Cons
- Only useful if you actually visit Deepscorn Hollow often—otherwise it's pointless
- Might conflict with other mods that alter map markers or the Deepscorn area
- No updates since May 2025, so don't expect fixes if something breaks
For Oblivion players who regularly use Deepscorn Hollow and want to skip the trek to its entrance. If you're a completionist or roleplayer who visits that lair frequently, this is a nice little convenience. Skip it if you rarely go there or prefer to discover locations naturally.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to place the mod in your Oblivion Data folder and enable it in the launcher or OBMM.
- After installing, you'll need to discover the marker by traveling near the trapdoor—it won't appear on your map until you're close.
- If you use other map marker mods, load this one after them to avoid overwriting changes.
