Ebony Blade Shortsword Conversion

This mod converts the Ebony Blade Daedric Artifact from a Longsword into a Shortsword, allowing it to scale with Agility instead of Strength, and using the quicker and more elegant shortsword moveset. This gives it an unique niche as a katana-style shortsword.

The esp also adds a small nerf to the damage, lowers the weight, and alters the reach/speed values (not sure if they do anything) to bring it in line with the other shortswords. It sits right between Ebony and Daedric, just like vanilla.

Requirements:

Installation:

• []Download the mod and extract it, then place the contents into your root folder (Usually just named "Oblivion Remastered").

  []Verify that the Ebony Blade Shortsword.esp file is in your Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data folder.

  []Verify that the Ebony Blade Shortsword folder and its contents are in the Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Paks\~mods folder.

  []Open the plugins.txt file in Data folder and add Ebony Blade Shortsword.esp

• That's all! Ebony Blade will now be a shortsword.

  Uninstallation:

  Just remove the Ebony Blade Shortsword.esp file from your Data folder and the Ebony Blade Shortsword Conversion folder from your \~mods folder.

  Known Issues

  :

  Currently the damage in the UI appears as if it scales with Strength. This is only a UI bug, and the damage does scale with Agility. I'm currently looking into what causes the wrong values on the UI side, and if anyone knows anything or has any ideas, please let me know! Fixed in 1. 3!

  Compatibility

  :

  The esp edits the record for the Ebony Blade, so any mod that alters that will be incompatible and need a patch made. There is a patch for More Damage - Custom Combat Overhaul provided in the optional files.
