Whispered Warning

This is a tweak of one of the original Dark Brotherhood quests---The Purification. It gives the player the option to warn the targets of assassination, who then fake their own deaths and go into hiding. I won\'t deny this is a bit of a cheat. I just like these characters and made this mod so there\'s a reasonably believable way to save them. When you reach a certain rank in the Dark Brotherhood, they return as if nothing had happened. For more detailed information, read the spoilers section. I have not tested this with other Dark Brotherhood mods. I can say that it should be compatable with them as long as they don\'t affect The Purification quest or the original quests that follow. To install, just put the .esp file in your Oblivion/data files directory, and activate the mod in the game load up. Spoilers In The Purification quest, you have to kill all the assassins in the Cheydinhal Sanctuary. Originally there\'s no getting around this, but now there is. Upon entering the Sanctuary after receiving your orders from Lachance, a new topic will be added--\"\" . Say this to any of the Sanctuary Dwellers, and after a few seconds you\'ll receive a note instructing you to leave the Sanctuary for 2 days. If you want to kill any number of them, you still can---the ones you didn\'t kill will be gone when you return, leaving similar-looking victims in their places. When you return to Lachance he will believe you have followed his orders and the Purification quest is completed. After you have finished all the Dark Brotherhood missions and have reached Listener rank, the spared Sanctuary Dwellers return.
