📋 About This Mod
Adds a new HUD element: a Thermometer. Modders can use it to display things like temperature but there are other possible uses. :)
===================== Kyoma\'s Thermometer Version 0. 5 ===================== http://www.bethsoft.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=913008&hl= 1. Description 2. Installing 3. Version History 4. Contact and Feedback 5. Credits ============== 1. Description ============== This is a resource that modders can use to display a Thermometer on the HUD. It\'s mainly intended for modders so users only need to install it and then mods will be able to use it (depending on the mod ofcourse). I\'ve included a small demo mode, started with StartQuest ThermometerDemoQuest, to give both users and modders a quick impression of how it looks. It is for all intended purposes a demo, meaning the values it displays are completely random. The temperature range is between -15 and 60 and every 5-15 seconds a new temperature will be displayed. There\'s also a 1 in 5 chance that the update rate will be gradually instead of instantly. The demo stops running after a reload to prevent it from hindering other mods. ***Modders*** As a modder you will be able to signal the Thermometer in order to display what you want. With OBSE\'s RunScriptLine function you can do this without having your mod depend on this as a master. Before you can begin to use the Thermometer you first need to \'register\' your mod. You do this by setting a ref variable to something from your mod. Anything will do, an item or spell or even a script. It is recommended that you first check if the Thermometer is already in use. This is done with something like this: RunScriptLine \"set YourQuest. RefVar to ThermometerQuest.pClient\" Then check the RefVar for != 0. If it is 0, then you can safely register your mod with this: RunScriptLine \"set ThermometerQuest.pClient to YourQuest. RefVar\" After registering your mod as a client you can begin using the Thermometer. It consists of four globals that can be set by the modder using RunScriptLine \"set TThermometerXXX to YourQuest. SomeVar\". - TThermometerVal Current value of the Thermometer. Can be integer or float, but it is limited to 1 digit. Maybe in the future I\'ll add more flexibility. -Must be set by the client mod- - TThermometerMin Minimum value of the Thermometer. Can be anything as long as it\'s below TThermometerMax. Used with TThermometerMax to determine the range of the Thermometer bar. -Must be set by the client mod- - TThermometerMax Maximum value of the Thermometer. Can be anything as long as it\'s above TThermometerMin. Used with TThermometerMin to determine the range of the Thermometer bar. -Must be set by the client mod- - TThermometerRate Controls the rate at which the Thermometer updates to a new value. When left at 0 the Thermometer updates instantly. Example: lets say the rate is 4 and the value needs to change from 4 to 13, it will gradually change the Thermometer from 4 to 13 with a rate of 4 points per second. -This value does not have to be used- There are also four bas
