📋 About This Mod

This mod has a selection of high definition in-game maps of the entire Tamriel to reflect popular mods, in particular around Valenwood and Elsweyr. These are static maps to replace the default in-game map, and so as such they do not zoom. If you want zoom, use Dynamic Map.

All of these maps require MenuQ! But not Dynamic Map.

The reason for making these seemingly inferior maps was that in some cases Dynamic Map can cause performance issues or not function correctly. If you are not using Dynamic Map for whatever reason, you now have an alternative.

From now on updates to this mod will be on request only. It is easy enough to generate a static map from any combination of modules that I made for the Dynamic Map, but the sheer number of variants is too

great to maintain.

Please look at my Tamriel module for the Dynamic Map - anything available there can be put into a static map, both in full and half resolution. Then just leave a comment with your request, and I shall make the update.

Half Resolution: Some hardware is unable to load high resolution maps - they are just too big. If you can't get them working, try the half resolution variants.

The following map variants are included:

  • []Valenwood Improved (or TWMP Valenwood Improved), Elsweyr Anequina, New Senchal.

[]Valenwood Improved (or TWMP version), Elsweyr Anequina, New Senchal, Sutch Reborn.

[]Elsweyr Anequina, Elsweyr Pelletine, New Senchal.

[]TWMP Southern Alliance (TWMP Valenwood Improved, Elsweyr Anequina, Elsweyr Pelletine, New Senchal).

[]TWMP Southern Alliance with Imperial City Bridges Extended.

[]Cyrodiil, Valenwood Improved and Elsweyr Anequina only - an Elven map. This is a static version of the Dynamic map module by GamingRC.

All Tamriel maps have Skyrim roads from TWMP Skyrim Alive. The Morrowind land layout is taken from Morroblivion. Classic Morroblivion plays out in is own worldspace, so it doesn't show on the general map. Conversions to TWMP Tamriel are supported loosely: Morroblivion in Tamriel - Solstheim needs to be moved and the map markers don't align very well with the map. No plans to update it, unless someone asks for it. TWMP Morroblivion is yet to be tested.

If you are using Dynamic Map, you might be interested in my Tamriel HD module for it that is based on the same graphics. It has options for Solstheim.

If you have a request for a particular map variant, please leave a comment and I shall look into it.

Each map variant in this mod is packed in its own archive that contains the map graphic and the corresponding ESP. The graphics all have different names, so you can download all the map variants and switch between ESPs as you need, without overwriting anything. They do not overwrite any other in-game maps that I am aware of

🤖 AI-enhanced — based on mod data

Replaces the static in-game maps of Tamriel with high-definition versions, including a half-resolution option for performance. A straightforward visual upgrade for players who want clearer map details. With 66 endorsements and recent updates, it's a niche but functional UI improvement.

✨ Key Features

Replaces all static in-game maps of Tamriel with high-definition versions.
Includes a half-resolution option for players who prefer better performance.
Recent update as of May 2025 ensures compatibility with current game versions.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Crisper map textures make navigation easier on the eyes—no more squinting at blurry terrain.
  • The half-res option is a nice touch for lower-end rigs that still want an upgrade.
  • Recently updated (May 2025), so it's likely to work with the latest patches.

⚠️ Cons

  • Only 66 endorsements—this is a niche mod, so community feedback is limited.
  • No mention of compatibility with other UI overhauls, so you might run into conflicts if you use those.
  • Static maps only—don't expect any dynamic features or markers; it's purely a texture swap.
🎯 Is This For You?
For players who spend a lot of time staring at the world map and want a sharper, more detailed view without overhauling the entire UI. Skip if you're looking for functional map changes like better markers or quest tracking—this is purely cosmetic.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 1 minute

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Since it's a simple texture replacement, just drop the files into your Data folder and enable the mod in your launcher or mod manager.
  • If you're using a mod manager like Vortex, let it handle the file placement to avoid overwriting other map mods.
  • Try the half-resolution version first if you notice any performance hit—it's a good balance between clarity and FPS.
