📋 About This Mod
Thank you for downloading Mister Misanthrope\'s Stoat Disembowelment Simulator. I\'m always on a quest to make the combat in videogames more varied, aesthetically pleasing and fun. Over the years I\'ve collected a million and one animation mods that I\'ve been mixing and matching to create the most varied and lifelike swordplay that I could. Today, I am simply releasing what I\'ve got to the public, with credit to whom it is due of course. =================================== Goals of this mod: -To drastically improve/overhaul Oblivion combat in a simple, creative way without additional scripting or control buttons -To make gameplay more visually appealing -To remove the monotony of combat and make gameplay more challenging and entertaining for high level characters Installation: -Make a backup of Oblivion/Data/Meshes/characters/_male -Copy everything in the \"data\" folder to your Oblivion/data folder -Activate RealisticWeaponReachMod.esp and MisterMisanthrope\'s Custom Settings.esp Uninstallation: -Delete any of the associated ESP files, delete Oblivion/Data/Meshes/characters/_male and replace it with your backup folder you made earlier Support: -Leave comments on the download page. =================================== Features of Mister Misanthrope\'s Stoat Disembowelment Simulator: -NEW ANIMATIONS- The animations for everything have been completely overhauled. I figured out a trick that lets you add seemingly infinite attack animations into the randomized list responsible for default attacks, so now single and double handed weapons have ~30 randomized standard attacks rather than the default 4, in addition to a general full-game animation overhaul. These animations are the work of basically everyone on the TESNexus Top 100 list for animation mods - amsterdam2019, OWASephirot, Kastien, sinkpoint, and whoever made the mod that enables xivilai animations for the player. Unfortunately I can\'t find the original mod right now. -FASTER PACED, MORE PRECISE GAMEPLAY- Many features have been compiled from other mods to make gameplay more fun and challenging. Following an idea I got from documn\'s Doc Dodge mod, the hit cone is reduced - now attacks and blocks must be aimed much more precisely, both by you and the NPC\'s. When you fight now, it will be much easier for any character to simply sidestep and change angles to swing around an actor\'s defenses. The NPC\'s will be capable of doing this to you too. Weapon recoil animations have been removed, meaning that you no longer stagger when someone blocks your attack - and they do not stagger when you block theirs. Rather than combat being a tedious match of blocking and hitting, it is now a frantic struggle to evade unending barrages of your enemies\' attacks using footwork and trying to gain the upper hand so that you can pummel him into submission. The animations for this come from rlilewis. Additionally, this mod has been packaged along with ScorpionHun
Stoat Disembowelment Simulator is a combat overhaul mod that adds dozens of high-quality animations and gameplay tweaks, making combat more fun, varied, and challenging for high-level characters. - Adds variety to combat with dozens of new animations.
- Designed to challenge high-level characters, giving veterans a new test.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2010 — may be incompatible with current game versions.
For veteran players who find endgame combat stale and want more challenge and visual flair. If you're a completionist or enjoy overhauling combat mechanics, this could be a hidden gem. Skip if you prefer lore-friendly or minimal changes — this is a gameplay-focused mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Check the mod's file structure before installing — since it's from 2010, you may need to manually place files in your game's Data folder.
- If you're using a mod manager, try importing the mod archive; if it fails, manual installation is straightforward.
- Back up your original game files before replacing anything, as the mod may overwrite existing combat animations.
