📋 About This Mod

V. 5 Fixes the problem with an enchanted weapon that was originally present. Requirements: OBSE What it does: This mod seeks to make a spellsword or mage-archer style character a bit more playable by in channeling your current spell into your weapon. Currently by holding shift while you attack your attack will be imbued by your current spell. For instance if you have the starting fireball spell chosen and you attack while holding shift your attack will do 6 fire damage in addition to your normal weapon damage. This will also charge magicka appropriately. Currently I\'m not sure of a good way to take screenshots as all visual effects will look just like a regular enchanted weapon. I\'m open to suggestions as well so keep them coming. Known Issues: Tis is currently a pre-release. It doesn\'t take into account if a spell is above your skill level and various other things.

📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community-tested with 130 endorsements and 6,458 downloads—clearly fills a niche.
  • Directly addresses a common pain point: hybrid combat feels clunky in vanilla Oblivion.
  • Lightweight and focused—doesn't overhaul the magic system, just adds a needed mechanic.

⚠️ Cons

  • Last updated in 2009—likely outdated and may have compatibility issues with modern setups or mods.
  • Only 130 endorsements suggests a small user base, so potential bugs may not be well-documented.
🎯 Is This For You?
For Oblivion players who love spellsword or battlemage builds and want a more fluid way to combine magic with weapon attacks. Skip if you prefer pure mage or pure warrior gameplay—this mod is specifically for hybrids.
