📋 About This Mod

You can ONLY use trainers to level up your skills!

Here's a rundown of what changes have been made:

- Skills can no longer be trained by using them (All skill "use values" have been set to 0).

- Only 1 point can be added to 3 different attributes per level-up (iLevelUpXXMult has been modified).

- Trainers will train up to 100 times per level (as opposed to Vanilla's 5 times; iTrainingSkills has been modified).

- All trainers have been made essential.

So, what's the point? This should eliminate the "efficient leveling" concept so you can spend less time grinding and more time building a character with the skills you actually want. Also, some much needed difficulty has been added into the game by increasing the value of gold. Not only will you be dropping plenty of cash on skill increases, but you may want to enchant some attribute-raising gear to strengthen out your character.

You can choose how fast you level up; either balancing level-ups evenly and leveling linearly OR power leveling a few skills and doing the left-behinds towards the end for an exponential curve that gets faster (since you will be making more gold and lower skills cost less). After playing Vanilla for ~15 hours it seemed fairly balanced and bug-free. I typically play on Oscuro's Overhaul (which has higher rates for training) but I haven't tested it yet. It should be fine since OOO is tuned to level slower than Vanilla anyways.

I prefer a simple approach to modifying game systems that are super light-weight and easily integrated. Mods that don't alter skills, NPC trainers or either of the 2 gameplay settings mentioned should be compatible. Other leveling mods probably won't work with this. If you would like to adjust the rates trainers charge for their services, you can manually adjust it in the CS by using fTrainingCostMultiplier in gameplay settings.
