📋 About This Mod
--- Magic Revised: Mysticism v1. 2 ---
(mod for TESIV: Oblivion)
by doubledeviant (aka iamnone)
What does this mod do?
1. Changes all Absorb effects from Restoration to Mysticism (as in Morrowind). All default and mod spells using Absorb Attribute, Absorb Skill, Absorb Fatigue, Absorb Health, or Absorb Magicka effects become Mysticism spells.
2. Alters Mysticism effect base costs. Some decrease, some increase, and some are unchanged. For example, Soul Trap decreases in cost, and Absorb Health increases in cost. See the file RevisedMysticismEffectBaseCosts.txt for exact details.
3. Adds new Mysticism spells including Telekinetic Push, Force Lock, and a menu-based Teleport: City spell. All spells can be purchased from Ita Rienus, the Mysticism trainer and spell merchant of the Bravil Mages Guild. See the spell list in this readme for details.
4. Changes the Mysticism start spells from Absorb Health, Minor Dispel, and Minor Detect Life to Vitae Siphon, Minor Dispel, and Fetch (see spell list). Minor Detect Life can be purchased from Ita Rienus.
This mod does not radically increase the power of magic.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Adds a fresh twist to Skyrim's magic by bringing back Morrowind-style Mysticism, which is a treat for lore fans.
- Teleport and telekinetic attack spells sound awesome for mage builds—definitely adds new tactical options.
- Decent download count (12,971) shows there's interest, even if endorsements are low.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2017—likely outdated and may conflict with current Skyrim versions or mods.
- Low endorsement count (28) suggests it might have bugs or balance issues that turned players off.
- No documentation on compatibility or load order, so you're on your own if something breaks.
For Skyrim players who love Morrowind's magic system and want to bring Mysticism back. Also for mage enthusiasts looking for new spells like teleportation and telekinetic attacks. Skip if you prefer vanilla magic schools or want a fully supported, up-to-date mod.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since this mod changes spell schools, check your existing character's perks and spells—some may become unavailable if you've invested in Restoration.
- If you use other magic overhauls, load this mod after them to ensure its changes take priority.
- Make a save before installing so you can revert if the new spells cause issues.
