📋 About This Mod
- ----------------------------------
- LUSH AND GAUDY WATER
- ----------------------------------
This is definitely only for die-hard, fantasy-perfection-loving types who want clear, tropical water. It's bright, it's obscenely gaudy and it's not meant to be realistic by any means.
This version has everything built in: Sewers, dungeons, SI, etc.
While the regular water is clear and aqua, the dungeons and sewers are now sporting an absolute grease slick with a sickly rainbow-sheen. Straight from the dirty frying pan to your Oblivion.
Unfortunately, the regular underwater isn't brilliant at night, but I can't seem to get the 'fog' to work when it's dark so it's not ideal.

- TO INSTALL:
- -----------------
Copy the Data folder to your Oblivion directory.
Activate the esp.
Make sure the following settings are set in your Oblivion.ini file: (Usually found in My Documents/My Games/Oblivion. You can open the Oblivion.ini file with notepad.)
bUseWaterReflectionsMisc=1 bUseWaterReflectionsStatics=1 bUseWaterReflectionsTrees=1 bUseWaterReflectionsActors=1 bUseWaterReflections=1
The reflections make things look a damn sight nicer, so it's worth checking that they're all set to 1.
Also check that the following is set like so:
uDepthRange=125
By default, it will be set to 125 unless you've been playing with it. If you want a bit more transparency, set it to 140. Generally this version of the mod will look best with it set between 125 and 140.
- ---------------------
- TO UNINSTALL:
- ----------------------
Delete the files that come with the mod. Not much to ask.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 1,202 endorsements and 26,865 downloads.
- Gives Cyrodiil a bright, tropical vibe that stands out from the default murky water.
- Includes a Shivering Isles version, so you can get the look across the whole game.
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2014 — likely not tested with newer Oblivion patches or mods.
- The 'gaudy' style isn't for everyone; it's very saturated and may clash with realistic texture overhauls.
For Oblivion players who want a vibrant, tropical water look that pops. If you're into realistic or gritty overhauls, this might be too bright. Skip if you prefer subtle changes — this is a bold, in-your-face texture replacement.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Since it's a texture replacer, just drop the files into your Data folder and enable the .esp if there is one.
- If you use a mod manager like OBMM or Wrye Bash, install it through that to keep your load order clean.
- Check if the mod includes both Cyrodiil and Shivering Isles versions — you may need to install both to get the effect everywhere.
