📋 About This Mod
Ever wondered who zombies were before they died?
This mod expands on the idea that zombies might still remember instances of their past lives.
On every major road, Lost Zombies will spawn. The spawner randomly chooses one of nine zombies. Each zombie has an AI package to travel to one of the cities in Cyrodiil. When spawned, this zombie will begin walking to one of the cities. So a zombie might spawn on the Silver Road to Bruma and begin a long trek towards Leyawiin.
The zombies are not aggressive unless attacked. They may drop some random clutter when killed and have a small chance of carrying a letter from a loved one.
A word of warning: If enough zombies make it to their respective cities, there could be a big group of zombies just loitering around the gates late in the game.
They're now hostile to all town guards. To avoid having Imperial Legion Riders kill them, I've placed a unique, respawning Imperial Legion Guard outside the Imperial City's main gate. He is exactly like a normal guard except he is hostile to the Lost Zombies.
Compatibility
I placed the markers that serve as travel references for the zombies right outside the main gates of every city (in the survivor camp for Kvatch) so it should be compatible with Open Cities or Open Cities Reborn. I play with OCR and it seems to work fine, but I have yet to see a zombie make it to a city as they often get killed along the way. I guess it should also be compatible with Better Cites, as the zombies will still be heading in the general direction of their city.
This mod will probably not work with any mods that heavily alter the landscape, as the spawn points were placed using the vanilla worldspace.
This mod was cleaned with TES4EditQuickAutoClean.
