📋 About This Mod
giggityninja's "Rescue Menien from the Kvatch Oblivion Gate" (linked below and in the mod requirements) does have a patch for Kvatch Rebuilt, but it is a little outdated. This page provides an updated patch between the two mods.
Specifically, this mod edits several places within the mod Kvatch Rebuilt to allow him to serve Kvatch as a guard after the PC rescues him from the Kvatch Oblivion gate. It also fixes a bug where Rescue Menien overwrites Ilend Vonius's script for Kvatch Rebuilt. I believe it also maintains compatibility with Skyrim Style Vanilla Followers, although not a lot of testing has been done on that front.
Please note that this is likely very different from giggityninja's patch. I confess, I didn't load it up in the Construction Set before making this mod, so this patch is not a reworking of the original in any way. I'm not sure if he added any cells or buildings or anything. I just made this compatibility patch in my own vision.
Only one is currently known. In Stage 3 of Kvatch Rebuilt, Menien will not engage in any routine. He will just stand in place around where he's supposed to be, but will not engage in any of the AI packages I've set for him in that stage (eating, wander, etc.). I've looked in the Construction Set and can't seem to find why it's bugging like that. If anyone knows anything, feel free to DM me so we can talk about it. I've kinda given up at this point, but I will be happy to talk about potential fixes.
If it wasn't obvious from the above text, DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE REPLACEMENT KVATCH REBUILT. ESP FROM THE "RESCUE MENIEN" MOD PAGE!!! It is based on an older version of Kvatch Rebuilt, and will likely break stuff.
