📋 About This Mod
I Can't Believe It's Not Vanilla!
The features You want... Without the fluff You don't!
Faction Relations aims to realize a dynamic and immersive medieval fantasy setting.
This mod fixes Faction Relations and Creature Dynamics,
aiming to make the game-world feel more like the real-world.
Animals behave more like animals;
Humans behave more like humans;
Different factions and creatures fight against each other in the wild and in dungeons;
Creatures and NPCs will no longer sit around waiting to gank The Champion of Cyrodiil together.
Why this mod was made:
What started this mod (and a good example of how this mod works) can be found in Fort Urasek, which is close by when starting a new game and exiting the sewers.
The goblins controlling this fort have captured two marauders.
The marauders are supposed to fight against their goblin captors after escaping from the prison cell.
Without this mod, you may find that the marauders and goblins don't fight each other, and are allied against you the player character.
They will sit in a locked room together until you open the door upon which they will all attack you as a team - this is not supposed to happen.
As we can see, the developers' original intentions have not been fully realized.
With this mod installed, the marauders will fight the goblins to the death after escaping from the prison cell as they are supposed to.
Upon arriving to the scene, you will find both parties still fighting or one party left alive.
This mod started as one simple change. Over time I realized that if I can understand the game's systems more, I could help Oblivion reach its full potential. Thus Faction Relations was born!
I'm trying to make the dynamics between different factions and creatures feel as real possible. Although I've done tons of testing, I haven't fully played through the entire game with this updated mod yet. I need people who use this mod to let me know if there's any bugs or if anything seems off.
