📋 About This Mod

✅ several hundred new items
✅ random unique items some of which have special properties
✅ common bandits don't scale quite as much to the player and don't reach as high equipment
✅ the Paladin armor is enchanted and grants a set bonus when completed
Note: this mod is now also available in an all in one package together with my creature add-on

OOO is still a great overhaul, but it is stuck in the past when it comes to the assets it uses. We have a lot more available now that would benefit it greatly, but it is not officially developed any longer, thus I made this add-on to change that and bring OOO to the glory it deserves. „Add-on“ is an understatement, I went through all of the existing content, items and NPCs, remade much of it and integrated the new content as seamlessly as possible as if OOO had been built with today's asset pool to begin with. All factions and many unique NPCs have their style enhanced and NPCs will also use special animations for new weapon types or if they are highly skilled. Face the most memorable characters and bosses, the most furious blade dancers, most relentless warriors, impressive wizards, seductive witches and agile martial artists and get hold of the artifacts that contribute to their power. You can find the new items in all sorts of ways – as loot or on NPCs, random or fixed, common or unique, some are also sold by vendors, but most require adventuring to get.

The mod is designed to complement the creature add-on I already made, but presumably it could work with a OOO+MMM or FCOM setup as well, though Francescos items are redundant with this so you can leave that part out.

The screen shots show a random selection, but a lot is left for yourself to discover. The very curious can find a full list of the content in the separate readme.

NPC Faces on the pictures are from OCO v1.

Latest addition: the mod can now optionally be upgraded with all items from the real swords series by Waalx - more than 100 realistic looking weapons and a bit more. They are mostly dedicated to NPCs from specific factions and will enhance their unique style even more.

The main features:

  • several hundred new items
  • spears, scythes and dualwielding used by NPCs with appropriate animations and 5 other combat styles, acrobatic NPCs may even perform dodge moves
  • random unique items some of which have special properties
  • common bandits don't scale quite as much to the player and don't reach as high equipment
  • tiers
  • Dwemer and Elven gear are no longer commonly found on most NPCs, weapons of this kind get replaced with Mithril and Orcish
  • the Paladin armor is enchanted and grants a set bonus when completed
  • the Boethia Shrine Quest where OOO had you fight beefed up beggars staffed out with the remains of a fading empires armory is now an actual tourney of chosens, with serious, unscaled competitors that you may or may not be up to.
