Enhanced Genetics Overhaul

Introduction

Ever since I started playing Oblivion, it always bothered me the ugly looks of vanilla races. I saw people from all over the world posting pictures of their pretty characters and when anybody asked, the answer was always the same. "It's a custom race"

Sho why did all vanilla races kept being there? Nobody cared about them. Nobody would want to play a Nord or an Imperial, much less an Argonian. This felt unfair towards vanilla races, so something had to be done.

So I began to do what I always do... scavenge and look for pretty shinies.

And so this mod began to grow, and it's been in development for at least 6 years, but only recently I decided to go public.

By now, there is already a number of other vanilla race overhauls, most of them amazing in their own way. But this is just a different flavor, a different design. Mine.

Description

Technically, its another vanilla replacer.

It makes vanilla races look better, focusing on beautification and character design.

Details

This replaces head models and textures, body textures and tweaks facegen data for each one of the vanilla races making them look better.

Also, the heads I used as replacers are all Head06 variants.

This does not only "improve" vanilla concepts, it practically remakes them. This is why certain things may come up as a little strange, such as Orcs using a human Head06, or Argonians having an entirely different appearance.

This also started as a project to enhance the appearance of my own characters, which is why it focuses on beautification rather than lore-friendlyness.

I've also designed this mod as a "cosmetic library" which means it has a masterfile (.esm) that can be used to contain hairstyles and eyes which other plugins can also use as long as they use the library masterfile.

TUTORIALS: I've added 2 tutorials as a separate download, one explains how to create and add hairstyles and eyes to a race with the Construction Set. The other, explains how to edit the "library" masterfile of this mod to add cosmetic assets to it and then use them in other mods

Besides that, the mod comes with a few options

Expansion packs:

[]Daedric Races: It makes Dremora, Golden Saints and Dark Seducers playable.

[]Cosmetic Addons: It enlargens the library masterfile beyond vanilla assets, making custom hairs and eyes playable
