Currency of Tamriel

Inspired by my Imperial Bank mod for Skyrim, I decided to try my hand at a similar mod for my favorite Elder Scrolls title, Oblivion.

Currency of Tamriel

While there are other mods that add full banking systems to the game, I wanted to make a mod that complements these mods, rather than replaces them. This mod does not add loans, letters of credit, bank accounts, or anything of the sorts. For that I recommend Bank of Cyrodiil or Better Cities (I personally use the latter).

What this mod does add, however, is varying degrees of currency.

New Coins

The default gold coin is replaced by Copper Septims. This is done by a retexture of the gold coin mesh as well as a name change. The id remains the same so conflicts should be minimal.

In addition, the following new coins are added to leveled lists:

• []Silver Reman - 25 septims

  []Gold Alessia - 100 septims

  []Platinum Dragon - 750 septims

  []Ruby Sovereign - 2500 septims

  Paper Bills

  In addition to new coins, Currency of Tamriel also adds various denominations of Paper Septims. Five, Ten, Twenty, Fifty, One Hundred, Five Hundred, and One Thousand septim Bills are added to leveled lists. The bills feature custom assets designed by none other than meo3000.

  Currency Exchange

  You now have the option to convert your currency between coins and bills at most general goods merchants. This service is free and is quite helpful if you are becoming weighed down by numerous coins.

  Coins and bills are auto converted on entering dialogue and auto converted back on dialog exit so you can use the new denominations to purchase gear, rent rooms, repair items, etc.

  Seed-Neeus at Northern Goods and Trade in Chorrol
