📋 About This Mod
So, I\'ve been watching Battlespire walkthrough videos on YouTube by GrimTheReaper1990, and I decided to make this mod, while I was waiting for the videos to load/buffer/whatever. Basically, I made a bunch of new classes that new players can choose in the beginning of the game. I think most of them are fairly well-balanced; I did my best to balance them all. I also made a fair number of different classes for each of the different character specializations: Combat, Magic, and Stealth. The classes that are included in this mod are the following: Mercenary, Ranger, Warlord, Weapons Master, Illusionist, Necromancer, Mystic, Shaman, Conjurer, Leprechaun, Burglar, Infiltrator, Shoplifter, Spy, Pacifist, and Graverobber. I\'ve also thrown in three other very special classes, one for each specialization: Pirate, Ninja, and Warlock. This mod may not be of much use to those people who like to build their own classes, and customize those classes around their favorite skills. It\'s mostly for people who are creating a new character, and would just like to scroll through a list of possible classes, pick one, and be done with it. The readme file contained with this mod, shows a list of all the new classes added by this mod, as well as the main attributes and skills of each class.
Bonus Classes adds a bunch of new default classes to Oblivion, expanding character creation options. It's a simple, lightweight mod for players who want more variety without custom classes. With 11 endorsements and last updated in 2010, it's an old but functional addition.
✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Simple and straightforward: just adds more classes to pick from at character creation.
- Lightweight and likely doesn't conflict with much since it only adds new classes.
- Great for players who want more variety without fiddling with custom class creation.
⚠️ Cons
- Old mod (last updated 2010) may have compatibility issues with newer setups or mods that alter class lists.
- No detailed description, so you don't know exactly which classes are added until you try it.
- Low endorsement count (11) suggests it's not widely tested or popular, so potential bugs may exist.
This is for Oblivion players who are tired of the same old default classes and want more options at character creation. It's also for modders who want a simple addition without overhauling the class system.
💡 Beginner Tips
- When creating a character, scroll through the class list to see the new options.
- If you use other mods that modify classes, load this one after them to ensure the new classes appear.
- Check the mod's readme or comments for a list of added classes if you want to know what you're getting.
