Notifications Watchdog is here to intervene - gracefully, but firmly. Lightweight yet powerful mod/framework that intercepts and filters repetitive HUD notifications.

Inspired by the original Silent Notification Framework, which introduced a smart way to silence repetitive messages. This mod builds on that idea with a more customizable approach - supporting cooldowns, duration overrides, and flexible control over entire groups of notifications. And don't forget to endorse the original mod - it’s a solid idea that laid the groundwork for this one.

- Cooldown System

Prevents identical messages from being spammed in rapid succession.

- Suppress Mode

Instantly blocks unwanted notifications (e.g., "You are over-encumbered.") from even appearing.

- Custom Duration Control

Fine-tune how long each message should remain visible on screen.

- Multilingual Pattern Matching

Supports exact string matches or pattern-based comparisons, allowing one preset to cover all localized variants of a message.

- Per-message Configuration

Each notification (or group of them) can have its own tag, cooldown, behavior, and language set.

- Flexible Presets System

Drop-in JSON files with notification patterns and behavior settings. No script edits needed.

This mod is primarily a framework, just like the original Silent Notification Framework. It doesn’t "magically fix" all notification spam out of the box - instead, it provides a flexible set of options to control what gets shown, how often, and for how long and whether to show them at all.

However, a ready-to-use example preset is included - it drastically reduces the frequency of the classic "You are over-encumbered" spam, limiting it to one message per minute. This example preset demonstrates how to handle a single type of message in two different translations (EN/RU). You can freely add more localized variants to the "match" array. All of them will be treated as part of the same logical notification group.
