Better Finger of the Mountain

In the base game, Finger of the Mountain has an egregiously prohibitive casting cost - more than twice that of the spellmaking altar equivalent - for the level 5+ versions of the spell. This mod changes the magicka costs for all levels of Finger of the Mountain to be about as efficient as Wizard's Fury - slightly less than half of the cost of the spellmaking altar equivalent and additionally lowers the skill requirement to cast some levels of the spell. I highly recommend playing with PushTheWinButton's Balanced Unleveled Rewards - it will automatically upgrade the spell to the corresponding leveled version as you level up your character.

The new magicka costs and destruction skill requirement changes for the various leveled versions of the spell are as follows:

Base Magicka Cost 11 -> 5

Destruction Novice (unchanged)

Level 5-9:

Base Magicka Cost 75 -> 30

Destruction Journeyman -> Apprentice

Level 10-14:

Base Magicka Cost 211 -> 90

Destruction Expert -> Journeyman

Level 15-19:

Base Magicka Cost 713 -> 160

Destruction Master -> Expert

Level 20-24:

Base Magicka Cost 1386 -> 280

Destruction Master -> Expert

Level 25+:

Base Magicka Cost 3551 -> 700

Destruction Master (unchanged)

Installation is the same as other .esp plugins for Oblivion Remastered:

drop the .esp into Oblivion Remastered\OblivionRemastered\Content\Dev\ObvData\Data and add the .esp in the plugins.txt file to enable it.
