INSTALLING MODS AFTER 5. 50 WORLDS PART II

With 5. 50 and on, you need to unzip the mod download and place the folder in your GAMEDATA\MODS\ folder. You do not need to do anything else. The game does not use DISABLEMODS. TXT anymore. Old mods WILL NOT WORK with 5. 50. See the NMS Modding After 5. 50 document for more information.

BRIEF 5. 50 MOD EXPLANATION

Mods in 5. 50 can either be full replacements of files, like they were before 5. 50, or patch mods that only affect targeted parts of files. The mod page should tell you what kind of mod it is (when I get time to add that information). My mod building collection will be updated when I have finished more mods.

I am slowly updating mods to the new patch format where I can. Some mods will need to be replacement style mods for now, or forever. I will continue updating this page with updates. My goal is to get all of them green.

I've uploaded a zip file with all my LUA and related files. You can use my files to make your own mods, I just ask that you give me a credit if you use anything directly. I've also uploaded a zip file with most of my Blender files used for gShip mods. Note that I suck at Blender, so these are very simple. They are also just the starting product; a lot of manipulation goes into the materials and other exported files. If you want the completed product, you'll need to download and decompile gShip Custom Ships or Custom Freighters.
