📊 Pros & Cons

✅ Pros

  • Community favorite with 533 endorsements and over 14k downloads
  • Tightens up flight mechanics for a more responsive feel
  • Active development—last updated March 2024 for Orbital

⚠️ Cons

  • Warning: flying into mountains with cave systems can crash you into the chamber below, getting you stuck and forcing you to destroy your ship
  • Ship engine trails feature not working for Orbital—author says they'll look at it later
  • Modifies core game files (GCSPACESHIPGLOBALS.GLOBAL.MBIN) so conflicts with other ship mods are possible
🎯 Is This For You?
For No Man's Sky players who want a more arcade-like, responsive flight model, especially on gamepad. If you're tired of the default floaty handling and want hover and faster combat, this is for you. Skip if you prefer the vanilla flight physics or rely on ship trails—that feature is currently broken.
📦 Install:Easy· Under 5 minutes

💡 Beginner Tips

  • Make sure to delete DISABLEMODS.txt from your No Man's Sky folder before installing, or the mod won't load.
  • If you use Vortex, install through the mod manager; otherwise, extract the files directly into your main NMS folder.
  • Avoid flying into mountain cave entrances at high speed—you can clip through and get stuck, forcing you to destroy your ship to escape.
