📋 About This Mod
This mod was originaly designed by Andarius.
It lets the player aim at any place for a pulse drive, even close to actual marker position, but without snapping to them unless you almost directly aim at them.
Andarius found the right spot for generic markers, reducing snapping from 10 to 2 and I also slightly reduced snapping to Space station from 5 to 4.
I since did a few tests and we can really finely pick which marker we want to reach when you have a bunch of them on a distant planet, or just travel close to them but not to them if we want to.
I was often annoyed by that forced aim in the past but I felt it was more and more present since Waypoint update and remembered Andarius' mod.
It was unfortunately broken by the 4. 0 update so I asked him if he intended to update his mod again or if I could do it and he was ok to let me continue to update this mod.
So here is this fine mod up again.

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 282 endorsements and over 11k downloads — clearly fills a real need
- Fine-tuned aiming lets you pick specific markers among clusters or fly past them intentionally
- Actively maintained — updated for Worlds Part 2, so it's current with the latest game version
⚠️ Cons
- Requires manual compatibility check with the latest game version — no guarantee it works out of the box
- May need to be merged with other mods by the same author, adding extra steps for mod users
- Only affects pulse drive targeting — if you're fine with vanilla snapping, this won't change much else
For No Man's Sky players who hate the forced marker snapping during pulse drive travel, especially those exploring dense star systems or planet clusters. If you want more control over where you fly without constantly fighting the auto-aim, this is for you. Skip if you're happy with vanilla pulse drive behavior or prefer gameplay overhauls.
💡 Beginner Tips
- After installing, test pulse drive near a planet with multiple markers to feel the reduced snapping — you'll notice you can fly past them without locking on.
- If you use other mods that alter pulse drive or targeting, check if they conflict; the author notes you may need to merge mods.
- Since the mod is updated for Worlds Part 2, make sure your game is on the latest version to avoid compatibility issues.
