4K Texture Pack AI-Enhanced by Evgeshajk is great but engine is not meant for this sort of quality and stutters too much. That's why I lowered resolution to 2K and now the game is enjoyable.

I didn't alter UI textures, they have little impact on performance and I didn't lower resolution of anything what was 1k and below. I kept all texture formats exactly as they are in the original mod.

This mod includes all textures from the original mod. Meshes are not included because in my tests with uncapped FPS I lost 50 with these meshes near the Tower area.

Main reason for this mod is to reduce video memory usage. With original mod, when simply load a game in the Forest, the usage is 10865MB which is greatly too much. After a little bit exploring it quickly hits 16GB. With this texture pack loading in the same area the video memory usage is 6466MB. Playing for hours on 4K resolution keeps VRAM usage around 10GB. It still hits 15101MB when going for ending E, so if you run into trouble in that part of the game, let me know.

Added "Game of the YoRHa Edition" in the main menu title screen.

Removed terrible footprints.

Optional:

Optional file is one folder from the original mod with compression level of BC1 to save video memory usage. You can also mix it with the original mod and the game should stutter much less and be playable.

Extract "2K Texture Pack AI-Enhanced" folder in "SK_Res\inject\textures"

Default Special K setup: "...\Documents\My Mods\SpecialK\Profiles\NieRAutomata™\SK_Res\inject\textures"

Custom Special K setup: "...\Steam\steamapps\common\NieRAutomata\SK_Res\inject\textures"

Uninstallation:

Delete "2K Texture Pack AI-Enhanced" folder in "...\SK_Res\inject\textures"
