NoPipBoy Remover

This mod removes the PipBoy in game mode and only mounts a heavily modified one when in menu mode. You MUST have NVSE running or it will break, I heavily depend on the GetEquippedObject function to make this mod "smooth" in usage.

Updated to 0. 71 and added a workaround for PipBoyLight. With version 0. 7 and as a FOMOD I recommend all to try that out. It makes it a lot easier to install and uninstall! A lot of options are added to customize and the main three buttons are now placed at the bottom of the menu screen. New options are color and language of the three buttons and a option to add transparency to the menu screen. Note that the transparency is for everything on the menu screen not just the background.

I consider it now as finished and will only fix bugs related to this release. This mod already has taken an overwhelming more time than I ever could have predicted.

Details ======= NOT lore friendly if the PipBoy barrel is a must have to feel pure when playing! Since it now is a FOMOD it's alot easier to install/uninstall. However all saves made when using this mod will still require the point 3 action under Manual Uninstall.

If a player have other PipBoy changers installed that is not the vanilla ones this mod will fail. Restore your game play to use a default PipBoy before enable this mod.

When enabled this quest script will check once and remove any standard equipped PipBoy, PimpBoy and PipBoyGlove.

After this a constant check is done to fetch when a player enter the menu PipBoy mode, and equip a modified PipBoy without the barrel, lamps or buttons. It will "just" show a screen.

When entering game mode after a PipBoy session the script unequip the PipBoy and make a fast uneqip and equip of the armor/clothing that is equipped to upperbody. The reason to this is that the game is hardcoded to shrink whatever clothing where the PipBoy is mounted, and I tell it looks crazy if you watch it in 3rd player view.

Install ======= Since it now is a FOMOD just grab it with the mod manager you use and activate it, the installer script and options given are self explaining. A tip, make a save point before activating this mod. Activate it and just play around without doing to much quests, if it is not to your liking then you just have to uninstall and continue from the save point before the mod.

Incompatibility =============== Another mod that changes the 1_stperson\skeleton.nif will probably break how this mod present the "PipBoy" screen for the user.

Most errors will be due to mods that changes PipBoy default by adding a new ObjectID
