King's School of Impersonation Radio Replacer

Replaces the default Kings radio playlist.  The King gave his busted tapes away long ago, but replacements are out there, somewhere.  This mod is the framework for supporting those tapes.  It will play alternative New Vegas music in the meantime.

Lore:

Somewhere out in the world, replacement tapes exist for the Kings' radio.  With those tapes, the Kings would once again be able to listen to the music of the man upon whom their philosophy of life is based.  No longer would they be forced to settle for the local Tops radio broadcast for their music.

Background:

Everyone is familiar with how the King's School of Impersonation features a few loudspeakers, both inside the building and outside as one jogs by.  Plenty of folks have probably also heard about Obsidian's tentative yet ultimately doomed investigation into the possibility of acquiring theme-appropriate music for said location.  (Sung by an artist whose name starts with "E".)  When this effort failed, what Obsidian did instead was repurpose the radio broadcast already used for The Tops, and whose songs could also be heard on Radio New Vegas.

A lack of time led to a small selection of music being spread very thin indeed.

Behind the Scenes:

In this mod's incarnation on Nexus, the new playlist of music is tracks which belong to e.g. Radio New Vegas or Black Mountain Radio.  This is a placeholder playlist.  The true playlist, which is exclusively music sung by the original King, is out there somewhere.  As for where exactly, I leave it up to the intuition of individual users, or the talkback on this mod, which I lack the resources to moderate.

Details:

Up to two dozen different tracks have been arranged to be played over the Kings' loudspeakers.  Songs were picked with a focus on (subjective) quality, popularity, appropriateness for a gang's headquarters, and an adherence to the aesthetic of Fallout, which is to say that songs that were recorded in the 50s or early 60s were heavily favored, as songs of a later vintage tended of course to sound recognizably more modern, and less of a good fit for what already exists in Fallout in general and New Vegas in particular.

[]Individual songs can be enabled or disabled from within a provided config file.
