📋 About This Mod
I wrote a book, check it out here!
Overview!
Are you tired of cutting your way through Caesar's Fortress, only to be annoyed to find that Siri and Melody and those backpack slaves don't really care? Have you ever wished you had the option to aid Sergeant Andrews, Ranger Stella, and those two unnamed gladiator slaves, only to find they don't even exist in the gameworld unless you've agreed to murder them in an arena? Or maybe you just miss the way that liberated slaves in FO3 would acknowledge what you've done for them?
Then this is the mod for you!
Immersive Abolitionism is a lore-friendly solution for these issues. Andrews, Stella, and the unnamed gladiator slaves can now be busted free of a new slave pen building located in the Fort, while Siri and Melody can be encouraged to make a break for it if the player is so magnanimous as to be shooting all the Legionaries in the area as a distraction. Once freed, each and every slave will take up residence in a relevant location in the game world, complete with new, fully-voiced dialogue acknowledging the player's actions. (All interactions in this mod are voiced using spliced and repurposed vanilla dialogue lines. There is no "AI"-generated text-to-speech content here.)
Bugs/Compatibility!
Because of the way the Fort's loading zones work, for optimal functionality, installing this mod after having already visited the Fort may result in Melody and/or Siri failing to spawn back into the cell. However, this can be circumvented if you make a save file while inside the center of the Fort (meaning the bit past the drawbridge with the arena and Caesar's tent) and then installing the mod.
Not compatible with mods that "open" areas like the Old Mormon Fort and/or Aerotech Office Park.
Causes some clipping with a couple NPCs from Factions Reloaded - Legion. Judicious use of TCL may still allow both mods to function together.
FAQ!
"The gladiator slave pen is locked, and I can't open it!"
The key is in the possession of a Legionary Slavemaster, who spends his time guarding the building.
"Once I've freed the slaves, where can they be found?"
Melody and Siri will take up residence in the Old Mormon Fort. Sergeant Andrews will be stationed at the Mojave Outpost. Ranger Stella will be transferred to Ranger Station Alpha. All the unnamed slaves, gladiators or backpackers, will move to Aerotech Office Park.
"Aren't there already mods that let you free the slaves? Like... Free the

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 475 endorsements and over 200k downloads — clearly fills a gap players wanted
- Fully-voiced and lore-friendly, so it feels like it belongs in the Mojave
- Adds a meaningful choice to a major quest, letting you actually save the slaves instead of just killing Legion
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in August 2024 — might not be compatible with the latest game patches or mods
- Only affects one location (Caesar's Fort) — if you wanted broader slave-liberation content, this won't cover it
For Fallout: New Vegas players who hate leaving the Legion's slaves behind during the final assault. If you're a roleplayer who wants a more heroic ending to the Legion storyline, this is a must-have. Skip if you're not interested in quest mods or prefer gameplay over narrative.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure to install this before you start the quest to assault Caesar's Fort, or the mod might not trigger properly.
- If you're using a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2, just drop the file in and activate it — no load order tweaks needed.
- Since it's fully voiced, listen for new dialogue options when you're near the slaves — they'll guide you on what to do.
