Like the original iteration, The North Road: Remastered is a a fairly open-ended quest/worldspace mod. It features a buttload of new content, stories, NPCs, weapons, quests, and locations to explore. You can meet your new companion in a new building in Westside (which you may want to do first), the North Road proper can be started by speaking with Brandt at Ranger Station Bravo, and there's even some unmarked shenanigans in Jacobstown.

What's new?

Many NPCs have been extensively rewritten and revoiced, pre-order DLC is no longer required, added new encounters, touched-up old encounters, redecorated many interiors, added new interiors, better navmesh, (slightly) better AI, rebalanced combat, rebalanced monetary rewards, more intuitive quests, more flavor notes, more narrative notes, more NPCs, more variety, aesthetic touches, more details all around, Todd has a companion perk now, Wild Wasteland integration, you can bang Madsen hookers now, etc etc.

Money, weapons, armor, and a companion that recognizes the value in being quiet.

Requirements!

All non pre-order DLC (all four narrative DLCs and GRA are required, and always will be) and my nifty core ESM. Because of the core ESM requirement, your choices matter, and certain decisions you may have made in Eliza and Headhunting will be referenced here, if applicable.

Difficulty!

It's hard. You should be level 35 or higher.

Bugs/Compatibility!

Do not go from the previous version of the North Road to the remaster. Uninstall the old version, make a clean save without it, and then download this. Other than that, I don't know of any issues. I could mention dumbass AI, but that's just a cool feature of this engine.

"Why did you make this a new file? Why not just update the old one?"

For one, this "update" is so large and all-encompassing that I feel like I would be doing everyone a disservice to quietly file it away on the old page. Secondly, I don't want to give anyone the impression that they can cleanly go from the old version straight into this one. You can't. Don't do it.
