📋 About This Mod

I've always had a strange affection for the Fiends. My head canon imagines their culture kind of like the Scarlet Chorus from Tyranny.

However, I think encounters with them in the game fall short of the way the lore portrays how devastating and scary the Fiends are supposed to be for travelers on the northern I-15 or the NCR forces stationed around New Vegas.  Also, I just like the idea of the Fiends having all these crazy scary weapons to go with their psychotic, drug-fueled sado-masochistic vibe.

Specifically, what this mod does is edit the leveled lists of ranged, melee and thrown weapons for most of the various Fiends infesting Outer Vegas, Vault 3 and the Sewers. With this mod installed, you will encounter Fiends equipped with Rippers, Chainsaws, Shiskebabs, Flamers, Incinerators, Sawed-Off Shotguns, Submachine Guns, 12. 7mm Pistols and Sarsarparilla Firebombs (after all, they basically have free reign of the Sarsaparilla bottling plant). It also gives most Fiends the same buff that Motor-Runner has in the game, except now it grants them the effects of being high on all their favorite chems at once like Psycho, Jet, Med-X and Buffout which should make them a more dangerous foe. Expect lots of fire and the sound of buzzing blades. Hell, they'll probably burn a few of their own to death for you in the chaos.

These changes will affect Fiend spawns added by other mods as long as their baseforms use the vanilla Fiend templates.

Other minor tweaks:

Fiends will no longer have Rad-X as loot, making it more likely for more appropriate chems to spawn in their loot table.

Motor-Runner has been given a suit of Reinforced Metal Armor and some Slasher.

Violet has swapped her Hunting Rifle out for a Hunting Shotgun and been given a suit of Reinforced Leather Armor to make her stand out more like the girl boss she is. Her backup weapon is now a Ripper instead of a knife.

Driver Nephi has been given a suit of Reinforced Leather Armor to make him stand out more from his gang as well.

Cook-Cook has been given a suit of Reinforced Metal Armor and now carries the more appropriate Psycho in his inventory instead of Mentats.

I highly recommend using a mod that reduces the condition of the weapons and armor of fallen enemies which will prevent unbalancing the economy from these changes.
