• Description:
• Aim at NPC and simply pressing a button makes NPC Essential or none-Essential.

• Details:
• Aiming at any NPC and pressing the apropriate key will toggle NPCs state between essential or none-essential if NPCs are "persistant refrence!".
• There are situations where NPCs cant survive no matter what,unless other mods or cheats being used.
• example: reaching Boomer gate will kill at least one NPC and the only way is to cheat (console: reset health), use NPC god mod or to dismiss companions.
• Even than, sometimes it doesent work unless dismissed, they get killed. Dismissing companions for that short period and going back to hire them all again is anoying.
• So, here is a fast and simple way to make them essential for a specific mission, time or situaton.

• Notes:
• Not all NPCs are persistant REFs and You need to check if they are.
• Tap key to check NPC name, Hold to make essential and Tap again to check if still essential.
• If it still reads not essentail, means its not a persistant REF and cant make them essential.
• If it reads is essential, it was succsessful.
• Companions are 99% persistant REFs so it should work on all companions.
• The rest of NPC on the streets will have to be picked.

• Instructions:
• Aim at any NPC and Tap (Right CTRL (by default)) to check if the correct NPC was selected.
• If the correct NPC is selected, Hold (Right CTRL (by default)) until the message tells You that the selected NPC is now essential or not essential.
• If You want to change the key, quick double tap (Right CTRL (by default)) and press another key You want to assign to or press the same key again to cancel.
• Typeing "set MakeNPCsEssentialHelp to 1" in the console will show few help messages to remind You how the mod works.

• New Vegas Script Extender (NVSE) 2. 0 beta 12 or higher

• Installation:
• Preferred installation method:
• Extract Make NPCs Essential. FOMOD from the archive.
• Launch FOMM
• Select "Package Manager"
• Select "Add FOMOD" and open to Make NPCs Essential. FOMOD
• Highlight Make NPCs Essential and click "Activate"
• Overwrite any existing files.

Alternative installation method: Extract the contents of "Make NPCs Essential. FOMOD" to Fallout New VegasData Include Make NPCs Essential.esp in your mod list via the FNVLauncher's Data Files or with FOMM/NVMM.
