Description:

This mod modifies all sounds with a lowpass filter and a bitcrusher effect, transforming the sounds into an experience reminiscent of early digital audio.

Inspired by this video, every sound, from ambient tracks to combat effects, has been processed to evoke the feel of old consoles or early PC games like Half-Life.

  Instructions:

  1. Install FFmpeg as the script requires it. Download from ffmpeg.org, extract it, and add the bin folder to your system's PATH so it's accessible from the command line.

  2. Now to change the destination folders open the .bat file in Notepad and edit these two lines near the top:

  set "INPUT_DIR=C:\original"

  set "OUTPUT_DIR=C:\degraded"

  Replace C:\original with the folder containing your audio files, and C:\degraded with where you want the processed files saved. Make sure the output folder exists.

  3. Run the script. A command prompt window will open and show a progress bar as it processes each file.

  4. Wait for it to finish. the window will display "All files have been processed." when done. Press any key to close it.

  Installation:

    []Backup your existing 'Sound' and 'Music' folders located in the game's 'Data' directory.[/]

    []Replace the original folders with the modded versions.[/]

    Mod manager:

    1. Plug and play

    Uninstallation:

    Restore your backed-up 'Sound' and 'Music' folders to revert to the original audio.

    If you use a mod manager just uninstall normally, as any other mod.

    Compatibility:

    This mod focuses solely on audio alterations and does not include any ESP or ESM files. Ensure compatibility with other mods that modify audio files to prevent conflicts.

    Any mod that replaces the original sound files will also conflict with this mod. A
