📋 About This Mod
This mod, for lack of better words, changes the position of the third-person camera depending on the player's current weapon - and whether it's holstered. And it even raises the camera if you're sneaking, too! Future versions may do more stuff, like change the camera position on more than your current weapon type - but for now, it works! However, suggestions and comments are much appreciated. This mod now has a menu! However, it may be somewhat buggy. Please tell me about any and all bugs you encounter. Furthermore, it now has an MCM menu! In other words, a menu powered by MCM - the "Mod Configuration Menu" system. As before, please inform me of any bugs.
Note to people upgrading: please disable the old version of the mod before activating the new version - or reset settings in the menu. Not required, but hey - it might smooth things over.
Thanks go to Vortaka, whose mod I mercilessly tore to bits to make this one. Also, to Cipscis, whose menu tutorial was ruthlessly perused to make the one in this mod. And to Pelinor, for making MCM and including helpful instructions with it!

✨ Key Features
📊 Pros & Cons
✅ Pros
- Community favorite with 2,320 endorsements and 56k downloads
- Adds real aiming flexibility in third person, not just a static camera
- MCM support means you can tweak settings in-game without hassle
⚠️ Cons
- Last updated in 2011 — may have compatibility issues with newer mods or game patches
- Requires NVSE, so you'll need to install that first
For Fallout: New Vegas players who prefer third-person and want better aiming and character viewing. If you're tired of the clunky default camera and want more control, this is for you. Skip if you never play in third person or don't want to bother with NVSE.
💡 Beginner Tips
- Make sure you have NVSE installed and launch the game through NVSE's loader, not the default launcher.
- If you use a mod manager like Vortex or Mod Organizer 2, install DynamiCamera as a regular mod and enable it in your load order.
- Check the MCM menu in-game to adjust camera sensitivity and behavior to your liking.
